- 1 pkg yeast (active dry)
- 1 Tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 C water (warm)
- 2 1/2 C flour (unbleached all purpose)
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp cornmeal (medium grind)

Instructions
Mix the yeast, sugar and warm water in a large bowl; allow the mixture to sit for 5 minutes; stir in the flour, olive oil and salt.
Knead the dough for 5 minutes; form into a large ball and return to the large (greased) bowl; flip over the ball, cover the bowl with a towel, and allow the dough to rise for one hour in a warm area.
Punch down the dough; roll out the dough and spread it onto cookie sheets / pizza pans coated with non-stick cooking spray and sprinkled with the cornmeal. Cover the dough and allow it to rise for another 30 minutes.
Press the dough out into the corners of the pan(s); top with pizza ingredients and bake according to the pizza recipe instructions, or partially bake fat 375 degrees for 5 minutes or until lightly browned on the bottom.
Recipe Notes
This recipe makes two crusts. Cover and refrigerate for up to one week, or freeze for up to six months.
