Ingredients
  • 16oz split peas
  • 8C vegetable broth
  • 2Tbsp bacon bits (soy)
  • 3 celery stalks(chopped)
  • 2/3C carrots(chopped)
  • 2/3C potatoes(chopped)
  • 1C yellow onions(chopped)
  • 3 garlic cloves(minced)
  • 1Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1tsp cumin
  • 1/2tsp black pepper
Instructions
  1. Bring the first three ingredients to a boil in a large pan; simmer covered for one hour.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients to the broth mixture; simmer for one to two hours, stirring occasionally.

Cover and store for up to one week in the refrigerator, or freeze for up to six months.
